The Sydney AI Safety Space is a volunteer run and donation-supported coworking space based out of the Sydney Knowledge Hub at the University of Sydney.

We provide free office space for people working in the field of AI safety (including policy work, technical research, field building, personal study, or engineering projects).

Come cowork with us for free! We welcome anyone interested in AI safety to drop by for lunch or a day of coworking. Just reach out via Slack or email to let us know you're coming.

Our space operates on a hot desking model:

• No permanently assigned desks - choose any available workspace when you arrive.
• We have meeting rooms, standing desks, and collaborative areas.
• Clean desk policy - clear your workspace at the end of each day.
• Booking is optional, otherwise it's first-come, first-served for desk space, with priority access for members.

Become a Member

Coming in regularly? Become a member! Membership involves:

• Getting an access card for 24/7 entry.
• Priority access to desks.
• Committing to volunteer for the space (help with events, maintenance, etc).
• Short term access to our sister spaces around the world.
